Search Entries
When a visitor enters a name, location, or similar search term into a partner search tool, that query is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. Seneca County Inmate Population does not store those search terms in its own records.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or message, the information in that message may be kept long enough to review it, respond, and maintain a basic communication record. It is not shared outside the organization unless a legal requirement makes disclosure necessary.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site may receive technical information when pages load. That information can include:
- IP address.
- Browser name and browser version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on those pages.
- Referring website, when one is available.
- Date and time stamps.

Outside Websites and Public Records
This site links to official jail rosters, sheriff pages, court portals, ODRC, BOP, ICE, VINELink, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the privacy policy of the destination website controls that visit. Official public-record portals and requests may also be governed by Ohio Public Records Act practices, including Ohio Revised Code section 149.43, rather than this notice.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure ads or show interest-based advertising across multiple websites. Those systems are controlled by the advertising partner, not by this site.
Who May Receive Information
This site does not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to the following groups when needed for site operation or legal compliance:
- Search partners that process search queries.
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance.

Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a deletion request may be sent for review.
